We realize that we are missing out on the Istrian peninsula, and other areas of Croatia, but hope to get back one day.
Firstoff, if you plan to live in Croatia without a car, Zagreb will be the best option. Most of the city is covered by the tram network, and there are also buses. The cost for a ticket on either is $0.80 and is good for 30 minutes. There’s a reliable commuter rail system if you need to get outside the city.
